Imaging for Windows
For Microsoft Windows XP and Vista users seeking Kodak
Imaging for Windows
capabilities and for developers who have used the ActiveX (OCX) controls to
integrate imaging functionality within applications, Global360 Imaging for Windows
provides the Imaging features found in Microsoft Windows 95 through to Windows 2000 but no
longer included in Windows
XP.
Global
360 Imaging for Windows makes it easy for you to find, print, and distribute
paper-based documents. Desktop scanning replaces manual data entry;
annotation does away with paper memos and stick-on notes and replaces endless
photocopying and distribution.
The Kodak/Wang OCX (ActiveX) controls; ImgEdit, ImgAdmin, ImgThumb, ImgScan and ImgOCR are
included up to release 4.0
With the new release 4.0 there is a separate developer kit containing the
ActiveX controls.
Use
Imaging Out of The Box or Build Custom
Applications - Use Imaging for
Windows out of the box to improve productivity for
individuals, work groups, and entire organizations, or
leverage its Server Access
COM object or the optional powerful ActiveX controls to create robust custom applications with embedded
imaging capabilities. Global 360 (formerly eiStream, Eastman
Software, Kodak and Wang) Imaging for Windows ActiveX
controls allow developers to add imaging capabilities to
programs that support ActiveX, including Visual Basic and
Visual C++.
ActiveX Controls & COM Object - Global 360 Imaging
for Windows has a separate Software Development Kit (SDK)
available which includes a number of objects providing access to
key imaging functions. These are:
- Image Administration Control -
Administer image files, provides common dialog boxes for
image operations, and manipulates pages within an image
file.

annotates, manipulates, and manages image files.
- Image Annotation Tool Button Control
