Installing Windows Imaging For Windows 95
Microsoft released Wang Imaging for Windows 95 version 1.0. as a Windows
95 accessory that you can use to view and print TIFF image documents.
A more advanced version of Imaging for Windows is now available for Windows
98 and later versions of Windows, including Windows XP and Vista.

Downloading Windows Imaging
You can download Imaging as a self-extracting file called IMGINST.EXE from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/default.asp
Select Keyword search, and enter IMGINST.EXE under keywords to search for.
Select Windows 95 for Operating System. Then click Find It. Select the most
recently dated file to download and proceed to Step 1. below.
Installation
To install Imaging, follow these steps:
1. Download the IMGINST.EXE file from the
Microsoft download site into an empty folder on your hard disk.
2. After you download the IMGINST.EXE file, double-click it
to extract the files it contains.
3. Run the setup.exe program in the directory that it was
extracted into (optionally read the readme.txt file for further
information)
4. Follow the instructions in the setup program and in most
instances take the suggested options.
Setup Imaging as a Helper in Netscape 4.7 (or other versions of Netscape)
In Netscape click on the Edit menu then click
Preferences.
In the Preferences dialog box in the Category section
click on Applications
Click "New Type" and add the following
information into the "New Type" dialog box
Description of type = TIFF
Image
File Extension = tif, tiff
MIME Type = image/tiff
Application to use = c:\windows\wangimg.exe
