Imager and Office 2007/Office 2010 issues
By default, Office 2007 and Office 2010 don't allow documents (Word,
Excel, etc.) to open in an Internet Explorer window. This is in contrast to the
behaviour of earlier versions of Office. This also prevents Alliance Imager from
displaying Office documents in the right-hand window. To fix this issue do the following:
Symptoms:
Office 2007 or Office 2010 documents don't display in the right hand window of Imager,
instead they are opened in a new Windows by the native application (e.g. Word
for a .doc file). Non-Microsoft Office documents - such as Acrobat (pdf) files
open correctly, as do documents in earlier releases of Office. Applies to
Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents.
Workaround :
To enable the display of Office 2007 or Office 2010 documents in Imager:
Download office2007-2010fix.zip , unzip it and double
click to install. You will be asked "Are you sure you want to add the
information ... to the registry ?", choose 'Yes'.

After an upgrade to Office 2007 or Office 2010, you may lose your file type association of
TIF or TIFF files.
Check the associations for TIF and TIFF files before installing Office 2007,
Office 2010, or Office service packs and restore them afterwards.
If you are an Imaging for Windows user it is particularly important to have
Imaging for Windows open your TIF files.
You can set the file associations for TIF files as follows:
a) Open Windows Explorer and go to Tools>Folder Options...>File
Types
b) Scroll down to "TIF", press 'Change' and browse to Program
Files>Imaging Professional and select KodakImg.exe
c) Scroll down to "TIFF", press 'Change' and browse to Program
Files>Imaging Professional and select KodakImg.exe
